Trisha Patton (Yup’ik)
Trisha Patton (Yup’ik) is a dedicated Dental Health Aide Therapist (DHAT) and instructor committed to improving oral healthcare access in Alaska Native communities. Raised in Napakiak, a remote village in southwestern Alaska, she experienced firsthand the challenges of limited dental care. Inspired to make a difference, she pursued training through the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium’s DHAT program, graduating in 2011.
Trisha began her career providing essential dental services in rural villages before transitioning into education. Today, she serves as a DHAT Instructor/Practitioner, training the next generation of dental therapists while continuing to provide care. Passionate about community health, she is also pursuing a degree in Public Health to further advocate for Native healthcare solutions.
